Shine Before Others - Sonnet 28

Arrange yourselves in warming fractal light,

Abiding just within the narrow reach

Of cold, immortal death. If you could teach

The earth to revel in your sacred flight,

To take a message to a friend and foe,

To not neglect the morning of their heart

For purpose other then a sunrise start,

Then we could go and find a bungalow

With open ceilings to illuminate

Our crystal thoughts upon the inky sky;

And when we all are questioned as to why

We burn, we then explain: “To thus create

A shining picture from the ashen heap;

For what you sow, that also will you reap.”
