My Love For You - Sonnet 11
My love for you is like a meadow, art
That stretches as far as the eye can see;
If flowers I could pick to show my heart,
They’d fill the length of field, a shining sea.
My love for you is like the shoreline sands,
So numerous, impossible to count.
One day, I’ll scoop it all up in my hands
And show with them how much I can account.
My love for you, dear, no one can deny,
Regardless of the pains that blow our way.
No matter how robust the winds may climb,
The home we’ll build won’t crumble or decay.
Although many a year may pass us by,
My love for you withstands the test of time.
