Does light emit a melody?

If it does not, then what are we,
Roaming the earth within a reverie
Of lofty and incendiary intent,
As if our inner grace we all but spent

Upon a stringless instrument?

But if it does, it harmonizes all the more
How what we sing drives out the broken silence
Undeterred by wisdom's guidance
As if we knew inside us
Is the key to tuning

That instrument up again.
