In and Out in Two Minutes - Sonnet 39
To wander in, not browsing mason jars
When sun is baking concrete, through the door
And buy two Diet Cokes from 'round the bar...!
This is a coffee shop, ma'am, not a store.
Like books that line the wall, so read the room
And scan your surroundings before you go.
Could rather have you waited to consume
A soda in the comfort of your home?
When in a coffeehouse, there's more to drink
Then one could find in any super-mart,
And rather than ingesting with a wink,
Put down your card and sip a work of art
And soak in wooden shelves and energy
Without your habits at the jubilee.
